About the event

Understanding and Supporting Autistic people

For clinical staff or those who are directly working with and supporting autistic people this is an introductory course that builds your knowledge of autism and how to support autistic children and adults.

The content of the course covers:

•             The main areas of difference in autism (social communication and interaction, sensory processing, information processing).

•             How does autism affect people’s lives.

•             Causes of anxiety and stress.

•             Introduction to the SPELL framework.

This course is virtual.

This course is split into shorter sessions, delivered across two separate days.

9.30 to 1.00 each day (this would include 2 breaks)
