CQC Update - CQC Primary and Community Care framework, Clinical Governance and Safeguarding.

This focused session provides a practical update on the current CQC Primary and Community Care framework, supporting practices to understand expectations and evidence requirements in preparation for inspection. 

The session will explore how the framework is applied in practice, including what inspectors are looking for across key areas such as safety, effectiveness, leadership and responsiveness. There will be a strong emphasis on translating the framework into day-to-day operational processes that are clear, consistent and evidence-based. 

Clinical governance will form a central part of the session, helping attendees to strengthen systems for oversight, risk management and continuous improvement. This will include how to evidence learning, demonstrate impact, and ensure governance processes are embedded across the whole team. 

Safeguarding responsibilities will also be covered, with a focus on ensuring robust systems, clear roles and effective training are in place to protect vulnerable patients and meet regulatory requirements.
