About the Role

We are a high-achieving, well-organised PMS training practice with a strong QOF record and a committed clinical team. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Practice Nurse to join us for 6 sessions across 3 days per week. Hours and salary are negotiable depending on experience. We are willing to invest well in a high-quality candidate who shares our values in delivering outstanding care.


About Us:

Key Requirements:

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active NMC registration

  • GP practice experience is mandatory

  • Competency in EMIS Web

  • Current membership of a professional nursing organisation

  • Committed to ongoing professional development


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general nursing care including:

  • Childhood and travel immunisations

  • Wound care and ear syringing

  • ECG and spirometry

  • Conduct health assessments and screening:

  • New patient checks

  • 75+ assessments

  • Cervical cytology

  • Manage chronic disease clinics including:

  • Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, CHD, and Hypertension

  • Perform regular audits

  • Promote and support health education and wellbeing clinics

  • Collaborate with wider healthcare team including:

  • GPs, community services, district nurses, and allied professionals

  • Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure safe management of the treatment room

  • Coordinate repeat prescriptions and vaccine stock

  • Assist in mentoring and training of Healthcare Assistants

  • Perform occasional home visits where required

  • Participate in practice meetings, audits, training, and nursing forums


Additional Notes:

  • The postholder is expected to maintain up-to-date CPD and mandatory training

  • Responsibilities may evolve with the needs of the practice

  • A willingness to support the wider team and flexible approach is essential
