Session title - Dermatology Masterclass (continued): Red Flags and Lesions/Features Not to Miss
Recognition of sinister lesions: Identifying features of melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma, including key visual and clinical clues not to overlook.
Red flags in history and examination: Spotting warning signs from patient history (e.g. rapid change, bleeding, non-healing lesions) and high-risk features on examination that require urgent action or referral.
Clinical decision-making and referral: Differentiating benign from suspicious lesions, applying safety-netting, and understanding when and how to escalate appropriately.
Learning through case studies: Applying knowledge to real-world scenarios to reinforce recognition, decision-making, and confidence in managing dermatological presentations.
