This session aims to raise awareness in all primary care staff about the evolving Freedom to Speak Up (FTSU) landscape in healthcare in England. It will cover recent changes, expectations, and implementation of national FTSU policy and the FTSU Guardian role, which are expected to be adopted by all organisations providing NHS healthcare services in primary care. It will include a broader discussion about barriers and learning.
The session will cover:
National Freedom to Speak Up policy and guidance and the importance of fostering an open and learning culture.
Clarifying speak up routes and protections.
The roles, responsibilities, and support of FTSU Guardians.
