Clinical Coding for Primary Care Staff

This half-day workshop will provide an understanding of the background and context of SNOMED CT. It will re-enforce awareness that accurate clinical coding is central to General Practice provision of safe, high-quality patient care. It is also a key component in successful financial performance.

This workshop aims to increase the skills and build confidence of first-time coders as well as help to eliminate the most common coding errors across the various clinical systems. Users will gain valuable background knowledge, and a clear understanding of the rationale behind current coding languages.  

There will be time during the session for personal reflection, peer-to-peer learning, as well as personal action planning. This session equates with one Continuous Professional Development (CPD) credit.
