HEALTH AND WELLBEING PILOT

The Health and Wellbeing project is an NHS England-funded pilot to support the health and wellbeing of the primary care workforce (including general practice, dentistry, optometry, care homes and pharmacy) in South West London (SWL).

This pilot aims to reinforce the NHS People Plan 2020/21, published in July 2020,  outlining a strong emphasis on ‘looking after our people’ – including 23 commitments relating to staff health and wellbeing.

As part of this Pilot, we delivered MINDFULNESS FOR LIFE TRAINING, these training spaces were available to general practice, dentistry, optometry, care homes and community pharmacy. Delivered by qualified teachers from the University of Oxford Mindfulness Centre. We also delivered the HEALTH & WELLBEING WEBINAR SERIES, a series of fortnightly webinars covering topics including: workplace wellbeing, work culture, nutrition & physical activity, managing workloads, taking breaks, and creating a ‘work well’ practice.

The ongoing initiative is the Employer Pledge, for more information please see below.
