Building confidence and a shared team approach to recognising deterioration and responding to cardiac arrest and other life-threatening emergencies.
What you will learn about
Early recognition of clinical deterioration and when to escalate
Adult and paediatric basic life support and use of AEDs
Airway emergencies including choking
Effective team roles, communication and coordination in emergencies
Practical scenarios reflecting emergencies seen in general practice/community settings
How to support local emergency response processes and equipment use
Accreditation
Aligned with Resuscitation Council (UK) guidance.
Attendance certificate provided for organisational training records.
CQC alignment
Supports the “Safe” domain and Regulation 18 (Staffing) by ensuring staff have appropriate training and competence to respond to medical emergencies.
About the trainer
Delivered by Paramedics with NHS experience in General Practice. Sessions are designed to be relevant to the environment and adaptable to the needs of different teams.
