The aim of these workshops is to equip reception staff with the necessary knowledge and skill to work effectively in general practice. A detailed information sheet of the workshops is attached. The programme workshops will include the following aspects of being a receptionist:

• Understanding the NHS

• Roles & Responsibilities of the Receptionist

• Providing Services to Patients

• Confidentiality in General Practice

• Communication & Customer Service

Who is the programme targeted at?

Although the primary target audience are Reception and admin staff who have been in post less than 12 months, other staff may take advantage of the programme.
