About the event
We are pleased to invite you to this 45-minute session about supporting LGBTQI+ people affected by cancer, delivered by experts from OUTpatients.
This session is designed for non-clinical colleagues and will cover key concepts including:
· Understanding sexual orientation and gender identity
· Pronouns and how to use them
· Systemic barriers to care, including incomplete records and access to screening
· Supporting trans and non-binary patients, for example when taking phone calls and booking appointments
· How to create inclusive environments
