Domestic Abuse, Multiple Disadvantage and Trauma Informed Part 1

This training course is for any professionals interacting with women

who have experienced VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls).

Our training focuses on how to effectively support those who have

multiple support needs and/or are experiencing multiple disadvantage.

By attending this course participants will:

• Gain an understanding of domestic

abuse and the impact of this traumatic

experience on victims/survivors

• Understand the vulnerabilities of

victims/survivors facing multiple

disadvantage

• Understand the vulnerabilities of

victims/survivors with mental health and

substance misuse support needs arising

from their experience of trauma

• Understand the barriers faced by

victims/survivors with mental health and

substance misuse support needs

• Gain an understanding of Trauma-informed Practice.
