This online update for cervical sample taking has been developed for practitioners who are trained to take cervical samples.

N.B. only registered Nurses, Doctors, registered physician associate, Midwives, registered nursing associates, can take cervical samples and must have previously completed recognised training in sample taking.

This training will include power point presentation, delegate interaction, pictures, scenarios and a quiz.

Using reflective practice, the delegate must also have quality assessed 20 consecutive recent samples and inadequacy rate prior to attending the update. This is a NHSCSP requirement.
