Autism Awareness

This autism awareness training has been co-designed and will be co-delivered with experts-by-experience with autism. The training covers autism criteria, screening for autism, encounters with healthcare professionals, the impact of masking, reasonable adjustments, and where people with autism can access support. After the training, people will have heard experiences of people with autism at different points in their journey through the healthcare system. Attendees should be able to consider questions that might help with identifying autism in practice and adjustments that can be made to support those people when accessing their service.
